OUR EQUIPMENT

We provide the flexibility of a custom setup for each site.

Mach 2 Productions’ specially designed sound system provides crisp, clear sound for up to 4000 feet of crowd line.

We are able to provide:

Speakers

  • 4000 feet of show line sound consisting of 32 “all-weather” speaker horns and up to 16 separate point source speakers  for your exclusive VIP area (yes, unlike some humans, these speakers don’t mind the rain!)
  • Or we can provide up to 3 sound remotes at your event, with 3600 feet of show line sound

Radios

  • VHF radios and antennas (with David Clark and Bose headsets) as backup for Air Boss
  • FM frequency for drive-up shows, with our programmable low-watt FM transmitter

Microphones

  • Take a direct feed from external boards like those used by the CF Snowbirds, USN Blue Angels, USAF Thunderbirds, RCMP Musical Ride, etc.
  • Multiple wired and wireless microphones for announcers, dignitary remarks, etc. along with a Whirlwind THS 4 Talkback headphone box specifically for your announcer

Air-to-Ground

  • Take your spectators into the cockpit of the performing aircraft with our air-to-ground interface that allows performers to talk to the crowd and be heard as though they were listening on the intercom in the back seat

External Output

  • Multiple low-level output feeds for radio stations, television stations, ESPN, etc. using Yamaha analog or digital mixers
  • Interface with other sound systems for extra coverage (in hangars, etc.)

Trailer & More

  • Our air show communication trailer with a large 160 sq ft (20′ x 8′) Announcer / Air Boss platform that can be used as a workspace for up to eight people
  • A weather station equipped to show wind speed and direction
  • All systems are self-contained and powered by reliable Honda generators
